Since he was a child, Michael has loved anything with wheels. During his younger years, he spent his time admiring his dad’s big semi truck and fixing his toy cars. In his kindergarten class, he said one of his favorite activities was “fixing their dump truck and hammering”.
When he was a little bit older, he started “Mike’s Lawn Service”. He has always had a passion for helping others out, and this gave him the perfect opportunity to do so. He made an ad and hung it up at the local bank.
He started his first job at an auto mechanic shop at age 18. Meanwhile, he spent his free time fixing his brother and sisters’ cars and attending Hennepin Technical College to become an ASE Certified Mechanic.
In 2014 he ventured into the unknown and bought Benchmark Auto Service. He really enjoys the freedom he has to make decisions that are in the best interest of his customers, and he loves being able to connect with them throughout the entire process, from the very first phone call to when the vehicle leaves the shop.
